On Friday 19th January the television channel ZDF filmed a documentary at Artemis about refugees who came to Germany in the great refugee wave of 2015.

The background to this was the ‘Fit für die Ausbildung’ project started by specialist recruiting company Zukunft INC, via which Ayub Moradi first made contact with Artemis. Following successful completion of a six-week traineeship in the Spring of 2017, he is now in the first year of training as a machinery and equipment operator.  ‘Through his professional environment and his passion for theatre arts, the 19-year-old settled quickly from the outset’, reports HR manager Alexander Walter during the filming.

The first film location was the training workshop, managed by Nico Winkler. The scene there showed Ayub and some other trainees in various teaching sessions such as mathematical calculations or workmanship. Filming was continued in one of the production halls, where the trainee was filmed during his typical activities such the operation and assembly of machines. Finally, there were exterior shots of the Artemis premises, portrait images and further interviews with Alexander Walter and Ayub Moradi.

‘The day was really enjoyable, and I’m looking forward to the seeing the pictures on the television’, says Moradi.

The television programme is scheduled for broadcast on ZDF on 28 March.
